Goals and Outcomes

Goals:

1/ My SMART goal for this class is to complete all assignments on time and learn more skills in reading and writing. I also would like to become a critical thinker and flexible writer. In order to achieve my goals, I will spend more time studying and reading the book. I also will develop a daily writing habit.

2/ My SMART goal for this semester is to pass all of my classes with a B or better. I also would like to learn to balance my work and my study. In order to achieve my goals, I will build a sense of responsibility and learn to manage my time.

Outcomes:

Regarding the goals that I created for this class and this semester when we first started the courses, I believe I had successfully met my goals. To achieve the goals, I learned to manage my time, and I always asked Professors or my peers for help. As I had to write a lot of papers and did a lot of discussions and quizzes, my reading and writing skills increased significantly. From a person who didn't know how to format MLA correctly and didn't have any skills in reading or writing, now I am very confident when it comes to reading and writing. Even though sometimes I didn't turn in my assignments on time due to high workloads. But overall, I have kept my grades up in all of my classes due to my hard-working personality. Even though I have not become perfect yet; but, I'm still learning, and I hope I can become better in future courses.

Construct a theme or thesis and organize and develop a substantial, balanced and convincing defense of it in a voice, tone, language, and format (e.g., essay autobiography, report, editorial, case study, inquiry, and research) appropriate to the purpose of the writing.
